First Day Instructions

When the last school bell rings (4:00 PM), Beacon After School students will meet in the Cafeteria for supper and program.


After School

The APG Beacon Afterschool Program is a safe and fun place to be! It is designed for middle school students to participate in various enrichment activities aligned with academics, explore their creative abilities, and expand their talents. Students in APG Beacon Afterschool are exposed to diverse fun and engaging opportunities that will enhance their thinking, learning, and development processes. Additionally, supper is provided daily.

6th and 7th Grade After School Program

The Beacon Afterschool Learning Program includes 3 components: Snack/Supper, Project-Based Clubs, and Tribe Time (Community Building and Homework Support). During Project Clubs students will choose from a variety of offerings for a 12-week cycle. Our current project clubs include Skateboarding, DIY Crafterโ€™s World, Basketball, Fitness, Dance, Photography, and Electronic Music Program.

8th Grade After School Program

Beacon offers 8th grade a unique and separate program. The 8th-grade program focuses on independent learning projects, social and emotional awareness activities, leadership and planning skills through student-led activity days, written and oral communication skills, independent living skills, interview preparedness, outdoor/active days, high school/college prep, and mentorship to other individuals.


Study Center in the Beacon Media Lab (Room 130)

  • Tuesdays and Thursday, 4:00 to 4:45pm

  • Wednesdays, 2:15 to 3:00pm

  • Our Study Center is FREE and available to ALL AP Giannini students, and operates on a drop in basis. we simply ask that they fill out the Department of Children, Youth and Families Consent Form attached below.

Academic Liaison, Mr. Ted

Our Academic Liaison, Mr. Ted, is available to support students and families in finding academic resources during day school and after school.
