Ladders of Leadership: a youth leadership program

Ladders of Leadership is a club where students work together to learn their leadership style and lead events to beautify and maintain the AP Giannini courtyard. LOL’s goal is to create a safe and clean space for students to hang out in as well as get students involved in their community.

Building the courtyard of our dreams

Located right outside of the APG Beacon Office (Room 130), the AP Giannini Courtyard is a space that is not widely used by the school community. LOL hopes to change that and envisions a courtyard for youth to hang out and create connections. This space will significantly grow our capacity to offer youth places to learn, gather, exhibit - and thrive.

LOL members will:

  • participate in student-led activities

  • develop leadership skills

  • express their creativity in various mediums

  • earn a stipend

The new courtyard will allow us to:

  • promote safe, accessible spaces for all

  • build community

  • host lunch clubs

  • access green spaces

  • express youth creativity
